Brian Harper

Brian Harper has been a skateboarder and snowboarder for most of his life. Harper's history in snowboarding includes winning the World Amateur Half-Pipe (U-Flume) Championships in 1987, being a professional rider from 1987 to 1996 (with his own signature model in 1995), up to his current position as on-hill Operations Manager for Windell's Snowboard Camp for the past 10 years. When the snow melts Harper spends his time designing and building ramps such as the Windell's Ramp Complex in Mt. Hood, and a one of a kind folding half-pipe that his chain of stores, AZP, uses for a traveling demo circuit. Other projects that he's done include the design of the Flagstaff, Arizona Skatepark (voted best new skatepark for 1998 from Thrasher magazine), and co-designing the Cities of Chandler and Gilbert, AZ Skateparks. As if he's got nothing else to do, he also is the co-owner of three skateboard/snowboard stores, (AZP) with locations in Flagstaff and Tempe, Arizona and Mt. Hood, Oregon. Harper's been a judge for the International Judging Commission for snowboarding, who handles the X-Games and the U.S. Open, for the past two years. Also, he's a judge for World Cup Skateboarding with two years under his belt.
