World Cup Skateboarding in conjuntion with IMG is organizing the 2nd Soul Bowl Invitational Bowl Riding Competition, Girls Street Competition, Invitational Street Best Trick Competition and Vert Demos that will be part of Mervyns California Beach Bash 2000, in Hermosa Beach, CA. June 8 11, 2000, a Sports and Music event. There are two age divisions for the Bowl. Group 1 is 15 skaters 29 years of age and younger. Group 2 (Masters Division) is 10 skaters 30 years of age and older. ESPN will feature all events for an upcoming show.
The Bowl has been built in Germany and is completely portable. It features a Multiplex Birch riding surface and metal coping. Its 65 feet by 42 feet, 10 foot transitions with 1 foot 5 inches of vert, 14 feet of flat.
The Womens Street competition is the 3rd points event of the WCS Tour for 2000. The Top 20 women from the 1st two Vans Triple Crown events are invited to compete for the $3000 purse.
The Best Trick competition for Street will feature 5 invited skaters competing on three different obstacles on the street course. This new format will feature a 15 minutes jam on each obstacle which will allow the skaters multipul attempts of various tricks, each skater will then be ranked 1 through 5 after each obstacle has been sessioned. The skater with the lowest total points after the three jams will be the winner. There is a $5000 Purse. All Five skaters will earn at least $300, with the winner taking home $2500.
The vert ramp will be opened to skaters that are interested in sessioning in a demo style open format. No Contest, just FUN!

Beach Bash 2000 also is featuring bike and inline competitions in the bowl along with bands and a pro beach volleyball event.
