The Recap Video

10.6 meg file

The footage above is a compilation of the weekend, including the nightlife and even some skateboarding. The movie is a big download (the nightclub stuff is really dark too, sorry) but it's pretty funny. So walk away from your computer and go get lunch (unless you have a fast internet connection) and then come back and watch the show in a while because the file is about 10.6 megs so it could take a long time to download.

Here's a recap of what's in it.

ESPN held a party for the competitors and the staff on Saturday night. Kareoke was the highlight of the night and tons of people got involved in the freak show for the entertainment of the rest of us. Don Bostick was shining as always on stage with the ESPN backup singers and Chad Fernandez, Jesse Fritsch, Kyle Berard (he was allowed in and supervised Dave) and a crew of others did a great Guns and Roses number complete with air guitars. A Hula Hoop contest took place and many well knowns were in on the competition. Brian Schaefer did some weird stuff with a giant fly swatter and Pat Channita even joined in as a backup singer.

You'll also see Pat Channita and Adil Dyani break dancing (mostly Adil. In fact, I don't know if you can call what Pat did dancing) and to wrap up the night Adil busted out "Wanderers" for his first try at Kareoke. The pool table was fierce with Dave Mirra, Anthony Furlong, Brian Schaefer (he was everywhere) and others playing for the big dollars all night long.

Oh yeah, there is skateboarding too. Mainly a compilation of tricks on vert during practice and some of the contest runs as well. The street footage is from the Finals on Sunday afternoon. Jesse Paez, Chad Fernandez and Kerry Getz highlights galore and also an interesting chair freestyle show by Jason Ellis which ends in disaster.

A lot of stuff happened this weekend, too much to document with video on the web, but this will give a little feel of what went down in Nashville.

Oh, the music is all Screeching Weasel, used without permission, but with great respect.

Jason
