On Saturday October 28th, Bart Simpson had an Extreme Extravaganza at the Queen Mary parking lot in Long Beach, CA. One of the facets of this event was to have professional skateboarders replicate his infamous leap over the Springfield Gorge. This would require some serious hardware to do, so Spohn Ranch was contracted to carry out the job. Although the actual time the skaters were allowed to jump was cut back to 1 1/2 hours they were easily up to and above the task. With no further adieu these were the results:

1) Brian Patch - 43' 5 1/2" - $3,000.
2) Tony Hawk - 41' 8" - $2,500.
3) Jake Brown - 41' 6" - $2,000.
4) Omar Hassan - 40' 7 1/2" - $1,000.
5) Bob Burnquist - 37' 7" - $750
6) Fabio Frugis - 37' 6 1/2" - $250.
7) Darren Jenkins - 36' 5"
8) Rune Glifberg - 36' 1"
