Sunday May 20th
Vert prelims and finals were today and the skating was more competitive than I have seen in a long time. It seemed like everyone really stepped it up this weekend and made the contest a lot more interesting to watch. Anthony Furlong said he just felt it today and it showed with his 3rd place finish. Pierre Luc Gagnon put together another solid combination of tricks to finish 2nd and Andy Macdonald had a new energy to his contest runs that resulted in a 1st place finish. Neil Hendrix had a great showing today as well qualifying in 3rd place and finishing in 6th place in the finals, earning the vert X Games spot.
Saturday May 19th
Today was street finals and Caine Gayle took the win with a great first run followed by Frank Hirata who has really stepped it up lately at contests and it shows. Chris Senn took 3rd with his trademark aggressive style flying around the course.
Caine also earned the X Games and Gravity Games spots.
Tomorrow is Vert prelims and finals and results and video will be posted tomorrow night.
Friday May 18th
