Sunday October 6th
Vert finals started the day. The first 2 runs were shaky for most of the guys, with lots of falls and a top score in the 80's. But the 3rd runs were crazy everything changed. Bucky Lasek killed his 3rd run to take 3rd and $7,000. Andy Macdonald held on to 2nd place and got $10,000 for the effort. Bob Burnquist had a Bob style 3rd run, wowing the judges and the crowd and took the win and $18,000.
Anthony Furlong took the Vert Overall Points award and a check for $10,000 just edging out Pierre Luc Gagnon.
Austin Seaholm was the overall Vans Triple Crown Points Champion and won the Ford truck.
Saturday October 5th
Today was another big day for skateboarding starting with the Vert Prelims. Chris Gentry stepped it up to qualify 3rd behind Rune Glifberg and Bob Burnquist. Tomorrow the top 10 will join pre-qualified riders Andy Macdonald and Bucky Lasek in the final.
Masters Bowl was packed with talent as well. The top 3 was close with Eddie Elguera taking 3rd and $600, Tony Magnusson 2nd and $1,000 and Mike McGill taking 1st and $2,000.
Things wrapped up with Street. The semis were first and the 9 pre-qualified riders competed with 23 from yesterday. 3 guest Brazilians made the semis and then made it on to the finals so the final had a total of 18 skaters instead of 15.
Chris Senn dominated the finals and took home 1st place and $18,000(!), followed by Rodil Junior and Austin Seaholm. Austin also took the overall Vans Triple Crown Street Title and an extra $10,000.
