Event Format

STREET

THURSDAY - A full practice day

FRIDAY QUALIFYING - 4 to 5 heats of 15 skaters. Each group will warm-up for 20 minutes. Each skater will receive two 45-second runs, best run counts. $1000 for first place. 30 skaters advance to semi-finals. The top 3 skaters advance to Final + Austin Seaholm, winner of VTC #2 2002 and Rodil Junior WCS #1 skater for 2002.

SATURDAY SEMIS – 30 skaters – 2 heats, each heat will practice for 20 minutes. Each skater will receive 2 – 60 second runs, best run to count. The top 10 skaters advance to the finals. Joining the top 3 skaters from the qualifying round as well as Austin Seaholm, winner of VTC #2 2002 and Rodil Junior WCS #1 skater for 2002. Giving us a total of 15 skaters in the final.

SUNDAY FINALS – 15 skaters - Each skater has 2 – 1 minute runs. Best run counts. Pay to 20th.

SATURDAY BEST TRICK – Best Trick awarded to 3 different sections of the course with a 15-minute jam in each section. Each section of the course will feature a Ledge, Rail, Booter or Gap.

VERT

SATURDAY QUALIFYING – 30 skaters – 10 skaters per heat – heats will be based on random draw. Each heat will practice for 20 minutes. Each skater will receive 3 – 45 minute runs, best run to count. 10 skaters advance to the finals plus the winner from last year, VTC #2 Rune Glifberg and Andy Macdonald, the WCS #1 ranked vert skater for 2002.

SUNDAY FINALS – 12 skaters – heat in reverse order of qualifying. Each skater will receive 3 – 45 second runs. Best run to count. Pay top 15.

SUNDAY BEST TRICK – Awards for the top 3 skaters. 30 minute jam format.

GIRLS

SUNDAY STREET – Minimum of 8, Max of 30 factory sponsored skaters – 2 heats. Each skater will receive 2 – 1-minute runs, best run to count. Pay top 8
