WCS is also happy to announce that the Tim Brauch Memorial Bowl event is back for 2023! We are working with Cindi Busenhart from the Tim Brauch Foundation and Merge4. The event for the first time is being held in Santa Cruz, CA on the weekend of September 9 - 10, 2023. One week after the Orchid Mini Ramp Jam. The City of Santa Cruz is a major partner in the event.

The event is featuring a prize purse of $35,000. The contest is also a fundraiser for skateboard summer camp scholarships to Woodward West. The TIM BRAUCH FOUNDATION believes that when kids are physically active and are engaged in a positive value-based leadership program like WOODWARD WEST skateboard camp, the more they will integrate and utilize the benefits of character building, independence, and initiative skills in all areas of their lives. The TIM BRAUCH FOUNDATION also believes that WOODWARD WEST has similar core values and has positive adult and teen role models.

We’ll be featuring an Amateur comp on Saturday, Pro, Pro Women, Masters and Grandmasters on Sunday.

Please stay tuned to @timbrauchfoundation on Instagram and Facebook and timbrauchfoundation.org for updates on the contest and after events.

If you are interested in sponsoring our event this year, please reach out to cindib@merge4.com to learn more about the opportunities we have to offer.

The Tim Brauch Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded by Cindi Busenhart, Justin Gold and Karina Strangio in honor of skateboarder Tim Brauch who passed away of sudden cardiac arrest on Sunday, May 9, 1999. The foundation creates scholarships and leadership programs that reward those who show self-respect, and meet challenges with perseverance, independence, creativity and integrity. It also supports an interactive art program in his name.

Skateboarding and art were loved by Tim!
